Why choose the ATX Calibrated Weights?

The ATX Calibrated Steel weight plates are a competition powerlifting weight plate of excellent quality and finish.

Made of solid steel the plates are machine calibrated weights and, therefore, have a very low weight deviation of +/- 10 grams. The plates are fully chrome-plated and have a vinyl coating in international colour coding. The colour coded outer ring is worked in to the disc as an inlay.

Are calibrated weights for powerlifting? 

The narrow design of the calibrated plates makes them ideal for maximum loading of barbells in powerlifting competitions, as such the ATX weights are IPF Approved and BPU/ WPC Approved - the two biggest organisations in powerlifting worldwide.

We also offer chrome-plated competition micro loading weights in the increments 0.25kg, 0.5kg, 1.25kg, and 2.5kg. These weights are, also, approved by the IPF (International Powerlifting Federation), BPU (British Powerlifting Union) and WPC (World Powerlifting Congress).

Why choose calibrated powerlifting weights? 

If you're a powerlifter working out at home, and are on a budget, you may wish to review our cast iron plates, instead. If you're a competing powerlifter, or, have competing powerlifters of your gym, then the slim tolerances of the centre hole, weight tolerance, feature of colour coding, and complying with competition standards; in fact, approved by the two major powerlifting organisations, adds a lot of weight (like the pun) to the reasons to buy our ATX calibrated weights.
