IPF specification powerlifting bar - 29mm shaft and powerlifting markings. Notably, it has a deep knurl (not many comp spec. bars do!) and the steel is rated to 230,000 psi - meaning a whopping load rating of 800kg. To put the steel rating into perspective, a TPB is rated to 186,000 psi.
We also sale IPF specification calibrated weight plates. Sold separately.
With the introduction of the new ATX Competition Powerlifting Bar and ATX Competition Powerlifting Calibrated Plates, I can't help but think that it's the German's (ATX) showing off - the precision, quality, and price-point is unreal. The items are not just IPF specification - they're deliberately better than. Take for example the 230,000 psi rated steel that's used and independently tested in Germany - you can easily get away with 186,0000 psi (like the TPB). Adding the extra-coarse knurl to the bar is for the powerlifter - not to meet competition regulations. These are bars designed for the purest and to break some serious records.
You'll need to review the Calibrated weights separately. Not content with the usual 0.25% tolerance, ATX's is less than 0.05% tolerance. WTF! This really is showing off!
