The Gym Revolution (TGR) is a gym equipment company based in North Somerset (just outside Bristol city) in the United Kingdom (UK). Here, we have our gym (showroom) and warehousing. We are a small-sized (less than 20 employees) customer-focused business with a motto of 'treat customers as we wish to be treated'.
TGR has grown through word-of-mouth and continues to do so. Now serving a much wider global community, while continuing to serve our very first customers, we endeavour to consistently improve our service and products offering, while not forgetting where we came from and being thankful to those that have helped us get this far - you, our customers.
Every company is only as good as its team members – and its customers! Our Team is largely made up of former customers. We believe our Team's passion for training, coupled with a strong understanding of the kit, helps us to provide the best advice with a personal touch.

2025 marked 10 years of trading for The Gym Revolution, making it a true landmark year in the company’s journey.
Our summer and winter @theGym HYROX Bristol events—created in 2024—both sold out in 2025, welcoming over 600 competitors across a single weekend and firmly establishing them as Bristol’s biggest indoor fitness events. The sell-outs reflected the strength of the local fitness community and the growing reputation of @theGym as a hub for competitive and functional training.
At @theGym—our in-house gym, community training space and equipment showroom—expansion continued. Following the conversion of our overflow warehouse into additional gym space in 2024, we added a new mezzanine level in 2025 to showcase the latest JAWS product ranges, while further enhancing the training environment for members and visiting athletes.
Across the wider business, growth was matched by investment in people and infrastructure. The team grew to 20 staff across the gym, warehouse and office, including part-time and junior roles. To support increasing demand, we partnered with our business neighbour Allegro Logistics and pallet courier Jays Transport, enabling us to store, manage and distribute more equipment than ever before.
Innovation remained central to everything we do. At Fit Xpo NEC Birmingham, we fitted out the entire expo gym, which also served as the unofficial launch of JAWS Gym Equipment. The event marked the unveiling of our patent-pending, world-first Standing Leg Extension, a completely new machine concept that attracted significant attention from across the industry.
Ten years on, The Gym Revolution continues to grow—driven by innovation, community, and our commitment to delivering industry-leading gym equipment.

A somewhat calmer time, post-pandemic, sees us attend and help with more events than ever before, which means meeting many more of you in-person. Our newly found in-house customisation skills lead us to equipping the BPU and WPC in British and World Powerlifting Championships, as well as the SBD World Log Lift Championships, and we have a core of powerlifting products approved by both the IPF and WPC organisations. The BPU BRISTOL show is added to our yearly calendar of events at HQ.

TGR expands into the neighbouring warehouse building (always part of the intended plan), as we endeavour to increase capacity and stock holding further to meet demand. Brand names MegaTec, Barbarian, and Ironsports, get incorporated into the ATX Series of products, as the ATX brand name continues to grow globally.

North Somerset's Strongest Man and OLO RAW events are created. We work closely with the Guinness World Records team as Martin Tye becomes the Heaviest Seated Deadlift world record holder at the North Somerset's Strongest Man event, and we have several film crews visit us. Being an '@theGym'er' and #ATXBARBELCLUB become a thing.

@theGym training facility opens and sees the return of the newly crowned World's Strongest Man, Eddie Hall, for the Grand Opening. @theGym adjoins The Gym Revolution warehouse, doubling as a community gym and showroom. Now, customers can visit and try kit before they buy. The TGR team starts to grow beyond just Matt and Charlie.

Matt Bembridge (AKA Gym Professor) reinvests earnings from his acclaimed Globe Gripz invention to start The Gym Revolution (TGR) web shop from the 1-bedroom flat he shares with his pregnant Wife, Charlie. In the same year, Matt releases his second invention, Deadlift Deadener, endorsed by none other than Eddie 'The Beast' Hall. The same month that the Deadlift Deadeners were released, Eddie broke the deadlift world record for the first time.
