This category section includes those stations often favoured (yes, over a power rack!) to squat from, amongst other exercises. This includes, but is not limited to, combo racks (even IPF Approved ones), squat and power stands, open racks/ cages, and squat racks. You may even get some half racks in here.
Hopefully, the images and descriptions help explain best the differences between the various options. I'll start with a couple of the more unusual ones - an open cage is like a convertible power rack, lying somewhere between a power rack and a half rack. The days an open rack/ cage is probably the rarest of the lot, but I love them. A combo rack is used in powerlifting competition for the bench press and squat element. At first glance, you'll think it's a bench press, but, check out the photos, as you'll see the bench is easily moved revealing a pair of squat stands, with the ability to tilt inwards for the larger user. Combo racks are used in various powerlifting organisations, we even offer one that's IPF Approved. Squat/ Power Stands are oversized stands, linked or seperate. Power stands are perhaps most-popular in weightlifting environments to practice elements of the lift or just to squat heavy. A squat rack is visually very similar to an open cage, but tends to have a scaling of lift-off hooks (a slope) and sometimes with adjustable safeties or fixed safeties.
