Straight up-and-down (vertical, not angled) smith machine with linear bearing housings and gun rack with safeties. Also, the lift-off hooks are part of the bar and locate over welded rods/ lock-out points. These features may not sound too important, but they are from a longevity point-of-view. The bearing housings will improve with continued use, not get worse! The lift-offs being part of the smith bar, means that the weld will not break like off-set hooks can. Lock-out rods make it far easier to rack and un-rack compared to smith machines with cut-outs in the frame.

At the time of writing this, we've had this exact same smith machine in our full-commercial gym (@theGym) for around 4-years and can highly recommend it - the smith machine is still going strong and used many times every day.
