With a robust steel frame, smooth-running base, and a simple Olympic plate loading system, the ATX Hybrid Race Sled offers reliable performance at a highly accessible price point, making it an ideal choice for affiliates, event training zones, and busy commercial environments.
Designed for high-intensity competition and daily gym use, the ATX Hybrid Sled is a robust, no-nonsense sled built for serious pushing and pulling work. At The Gym Revolution , we supply this sled exclusively in the 4-post race configuration - the same setup used in competitive fitness events - making it the ideal solution for performance gyms, functional training facilities, and HYROX affiliates.
The ATX Hybrid Sled is offered exclusively in the 4-post race configuration to mirror competition standards while maximising safety, stability, and flooring protection in busy gyms. Built with heavy-duty steel and a smooth-glide, traditional weight horn design compatible with Olympic plates, it delivers reliable performance at a more accessible price than premium event-branded alternatives like the CENTR sled. It's ideal for HYROX affiliates, functional fitness facilities, and race prep zones for push, pull, drag, and sprint work. The Gym Revolution supplies this competition-ready format based on hands-on event experience to ensure consistent, safe training.
The 4-post configuration isn't just about competition accuracy, it's about safety, stability, and longevity in real gym environments.
In short: it's best practice for busy gyms and event-focused facilities.
The ATX Power Sled is engineered with the same design philosophy ATX is known for - overbuilt, reliable, and well-priced.
Compared with premium event-branded alternatives such as the CENTR sled used in official competitions, the ATX Power Sled offers a significantly more accessible price point while retaining the feel and functionality athletes expect. The conventional weight horn design also avoids the potential wear/ damage issues associated with more complex slot-and-lock systems when used repeatedly in busy gyms.
As HYROX event operators and affiliate owners ourselves, we understand exactly how sleds are used, abused, and expected to perform. That's why we've chosen to supply the ATX Power Sled only in its most practical, competition-ready format, so your athletes train safely, consistently, and with confidence.
Question: Why is the ATX Hybrid Sled only offered in a 4-post race configuration? Short answer: The 4-post setup delivers race-standard feel while prioritising safety, stability, and longevity in busy gyms. It removes the need to rotate or pivot a heavily loaded sled on indoor tracks, reduces toppling risk, and helps protect flooring - especially on budget or modular tracks - making it best practice for event-focused facilities.
Question: Does this configuration match HYROX competition standards? Short answer: Yes. The 4-post race configuration mirrors the setup used in competitive fitness events like HYROX. The Gym Revolution supplies the sled exclusively in this format - based on hands-on event experience - so athletes can train safely and consistently with the same feel they’ll encounter on race day. The configuration may be the same, but the weight is not (see last question).
Question: What loading system does the sled use, and which plates are compatible? Short answer: It uses a traditional weight horn system that’s simple, strong, and less prone to impact damage than more complex slot-and-lock mechanisms. The horns are compatible with Olympic 50mm/ 2" weight plates.
Question: What surfaces and training styles is it designed for? Short answer: Built from heavy-duty steel with a smooth-glide design, the sled is suited for turf and performance tracks. It’s ideal for sled push, pull, drag, and sprint work in HYROX affiliates, functional fitness gyms, performance facilities, and race prep or warm-up zones.
Question: How does it compare to premium event-branded sleds like the CENTR? Short answer: The ATX Hybrid Race Sled offers a more accessible price while retaining the feel and functionality athletes expect. Its conventional weight horn design also helps avoid the potential wear issues associated with the event slot-and-lock systems - an advantage in high-traffic gym settings. The Gym Revolution selects this competition-ready format to ensure consistent, safe training drawn from real event experience.
Question: Is there a disadvantage compared to an official HYROX competition CENTR sled? Short answer: Yes. While the height and width are pretty identical, it's worth noting that the turned up skis of the ATX model make is 9cm shorter (93cm compared to 102cm) and the sheet metal bridge means it weighs 12kg less (38kg compared to 50kg). ATX have done this to make the sled parcel size, rather than pallet size, and therefore reduce the delivery cost (& therefore overall cost), but the weight is an important thing to be aware of when loading to comp weight/s. So, factoring it's it's either 23kg (empty) or 38kg (with posts), rather than 25kg and 50kg respectively, is a small disadvantage to think about when loading. However, I should note that the original official HYROX sled (produced by Wolverson) was the same weight as the ATX sled and hence the sled loaded race weights make more sense with a 23kg / 38kg sled, as there's no need for an obscure 3kg topper - just normal olympic increments. But, so long as you know.
